Meet: Jody Krause, Peace of Mind Recipient
At Valentine Roofing, we believe that everyone deserves a safe and secure home. That’s why we created the Peace of Mind program - to give back to local homeowners in need by providing them with a brand-new roof, free of charge. This incredible program allows us to uplift and support our community, ensuring that deserving individuals can enjoy peace of mind, no matter their circumstances.
In our latest Peace of Mind project, we partnered with SPIRIT 105.3 to surprise Jody Krause with a much-needed roof replacement. Jody’s story touched our hearts, and we were honored to help her and her family by providing a new roof, gutters, and attic insulation.
Jody is the daughter of a military family, and she spent much of her life moving across different states and countries. Despite living in many places, her dream was always to provide a stable home where her daughters could grow up and create lasting memories. Now a single mother to two incredible daughters, aged 14 and 17, Jody works tirelessly to support her family while dedicating all her remaining energy to her girls. Loved by her community, friends, and neighbors, Jody is an inspiration, and we felt privileged to be able to give back to her.
Jody’s home was built 25 years ago, and her roof had never been replaced. Over time, it had developed significant wear and tear, with moss growth and visible damage. A professional inspection confirmed that the aging roof was in dire need of replacement, and we knew that stepping in to help was the right thing to do.
Project Specs
To ensure Jody’s home was properly protected for years to come, our team at Valentine Roofing completed the following work:

Replaced 10 sheets of polywood for a strong and secure foundation.

Trimmed all barge boards flush with fascia for a seamless finish.

Applied ice and water shield around all roof penetrations, chimney, and skylights to prevent leaks.

Replaced 8 RVOs (roof ventilation outlets) to improve attic airflow and prevent moisture buildup.

Installed Owens Corning Duration shingles in Williamsburg Gray, a durable and beautiful shingle choice designed to withstand the Pacific Northwest weather.

Replaced Jody’s outdated gutters with new 5K Lo Gloss White gutters for efficient water drainage.

Upgraded attic insulation to improve energy efficiency and home comfort.
This project was not just about a roof - it was about providing stability and security for Jody and her daughters so they could continue building their future together without worry.
